Mattisson Organic Living Lemonade - Ginger & Turmeric
What is Living Lemonade?
Living Lemonade Ginger & Turmeric is made from fresh ginger tea supplemented with turmeric, cane sugar and a living ferment (a mix of various bacteria and yeasts). Combining this live ferment with sugar triggers a fermentation process in which the bacteria and yeasts "eat" the sugar. This creates acids, yeasts, enzymes and other substances. Careful selection and dosing and the cold extraction process of the fresh roots maximize the turmeric and ginger. The drink is not pasteurized. During the fermentation process, a slight effervescence occurs in the drink. Living lemonade contains less 0.2 grams of residual sugar per 100 ml.
Probiotics
Mattisson Living Lemonade contains live probiotic bacteria, or good gut bacteria. These are an important part of the intestinal flora.
