Product description

La Droguerie Ecologique – White Chalk – Blanc de Meudon – Silver Polish – 500 grams

Blanc de Meudon is a traditional product of the chalk type (calcium carbonate) in powder form. It is used to clean surfaces and make them shine, such as stainless steel, copper, brass, silver, ceramics, marble, and plastic.

Polishing stainless steel, copper, tin, and silver: make a paste with water and Blanc de Meudon and then rub it onto the surface.

Blanc de Meudon comes from the chalk quarries of the Paris water basin. This fine white powder consists mainly of calcium carbonate, but it is also slightly alkaline, very mildly abrasive, and traditionally used for painting and household tasks. It can also be used to make white paint and is commonly known as white chalk. You can decorate windows with it and frost them temporarily together with children (ideal for Christmas decorations). You can also temporarily whiten your shop windows during renovations.

The decoration can later be removed with a simple cloth and water. It is non-toxic and completely harmless to the environment. Available in a 500 g cardboard bag.

Blanc de Meudon is also sometimes called “Spanish white,” “Toulouse white,” “Champagne white (Troyes),” or more traditionally, “marl.” The Meudon quarry is no longer mined but has become a protected landscape. Blanc de Meudon can be used pure, treated, or mixed with other materials.

Country of Origin: France
