The correct use of Twist off lids

  • Twist Off lids are intended for easy and airtight sealing of, f.e., jam jars and Juice & Sauce Bottles.
  • Fill the jars one by one with hot product, always avoiding thermal shock. Recommended difference between product temperature and pot is not more than 35 degrees Celsius.
  • At the same time, immediately place the lid on the jar, screw it counterclockwise until it is flat, and then screw it with two fingers until it can go no further, without tightening
  • Allow the lids to heat up for at least 3 minutes, thanks to induction of hot products, while you continue filling and closing other jars.
  • Screw and tighten the first jars whose lids, after 3 minutes of exposure, will be heated and perform better
  • Since it involves a sequence of manual actions, it is better if this is done by two people. One takes care of filling, the other for putting on the lids and screwing them on for the last time after 3 minutes.
