Diatomaceous earth (silicon dioxide), unheated and sourced from European mines, consists of extremely sharp microscopic marine fossil layers. It is used as a versatile household product for maintaining the home and garden, as well as areas used by animals (cushions, beds, cages…).
Uses:
Diatomaceous earth neutralizes odors and absorbs moisture exceptionally well—valuable properties for litter boxes, pet cushions, and living areas, but also for other purposes such as urine, stains on textiles, leather, etc.

1. Insecticide in the home
This is probably the most common method: diatomaceous earth is a non-chemical insect control product in the home. It is used against bedbugs, but also against cockroaches, silverfish, and fleas.
2. Insecticide in the garden
Diatomaceous earth for ecological management: in organic gardening it is also used against caterpillars, aphids, and other insects. Sprinkle a small amount of diatomaceous earth around the necessary plants.
Note: it kills insects (through mechanical action), so if you only want them to stay away and not be killed, you will need to find another solution for pests such as aphids.
3. Insecticide for animals
Does your dog or cat have fleas? No worries—diatomaceous earth can be safely used as a natural anti-flea remedy.

Strong abrasive and drying effect. Surfaces treated with this powder quickly become dry and clean.
Instructions for use:

Make a paste by adding a little water to the diatomaceous earth, apply it to the surface to be cleaned, scrub, and rinse.

Sprinkle 10 to 30 g/m² of diatomaceous earth on dirty pet beds, cushions, cages, etc. Repeat 1 to 2 times per week.

Warning:
