Manual dispensing in adjustable volumes
The VITLAB simplex² bottle-top dispenser is a manually operated dispenser for adjustable volumes between 1 and 10 ml. Helios Holland supplies this version as a complete set with a transparent 1000 ml reservoir.
The required dispensing volume is selected using the screw mechanism and internal toothed rack. Operating the piston manually draws liquid from the reservoir and dispenses it through the discharge tube. This enables multiple bottles to be filled consecutively using the same volume setting.
The dispensing range is 1.0 to 10.0 ml per stroke, with a graduation of 0.20 ml. At the nominal volume, the manufacturer specifies a maximum systematic error of ±0.5% or ±50 µl and a coefficient of variation of no more than 0.1%.
For volumes above 10 ml, the piston can be operated several times. If you regularly need to dispense volumes between 10 and 30 ml, a separate 10–30 ml dispenser will be available. This version will be added to our range at a later date.
The VITLAB simplex² has a GL45 main thread and includes adapters for GL25, GL28, GL32, GL38 and S40. The telescopic intake tube is adjustable from 125 to 240 mm, allowing it to be adapted to different supply bottle heights.
The dispenser features a positive displacement piston with a PFA sealing lip. This sealing lip moves along the cylinder wall and helps reduce deposits from readily crystallising liquids. The glass cylinder has a plastic coating that reduces the risk of splashing if the glass is damaged.
The parts that come into contact with the liquid are made from borosilicate glass, aluminium oxide ceramic, FEP, ETFE, PFA, PTFE, platinum-iridium and PP. According to VITLAB, these materials are resistant to many organic and inorganic solutions.
Always consult the official VITLAB compatibility information before using a specific liquid. Suitability can depend on factors including composition, concentration and temperature.
The simplex² has a calibration function for checking and adjusting the dispensing volume. The discharge valve closes the dispensing channel when the discharge tube is not fitted, preventing liquid from escaping through the channel.
The bottle-top dispenser is fully autoclavable at 121 °C and 2 bar in accordance with DIN EN 285. Always follow the supplied operating instructions for cleaning, autoclaving, calibration and safe use.
