Matcha is a green tea made from the young leaves of the tea plant Camellia sinensis. The finest and whole leaves are de-stemmed and slowly ground into a fine tea powder. Matcha is the only tea variety where the entire tea leaf is drunk in the form of powder. Matcha naturally has a full, slightly bitter taste. Because the whole leaves are consumed, matcha contains many antioxidants, vitamins and minerals.
Usage and storage
Per cup: dissolve 2 teaspoons (8 grams) of powder in warm water or (vegetable) milk, add the remaining warm liquid (max. 70 degrees). To make the latte extra creamy, it can also be blended in blender. As needed, a sweetener can be added for example honey, coconut syrup or coconut blossom sugar.
Contains caffeine, not suitable for children and pregnant women.
