Xylitol, birch sugar is a natural sweetener found as a natural sugar alcohol in vegetables, fruits and the bark of the birch tree, among others. Mattisson Xylitol is extracted from European birch trees and has about 70% of the sweetening power of ordinary sugar.
Usage and storage:
Xylitol is an ideal substitute for cane, beet sugar or other sweeteners. Gives a delicious sweet taste to smoothies, yogurt, snacks, drinks, ice cream and other (after) dishes. Xylitol is known to be laxative.
